Add Switch to OEM Ambient Lights?
I have been eyeing the ambient light kit for a while now. Ideally, I would like to be able to switch them on and off rather than always having them on with the headlights.
My plan is to just splice in a switch somewhere along the line (probably between the wiring harnesses that connect to the car and where the actual LED units are) and use one of the blanks near the traction control to mount a switch ala SilverEX15. I figure this way, I'm not interfering with the way these lights are designed to connect to the car; I'm just adding a break in the circuit so I can switch them on and off.
Electrical work is not really my forte, but I can solder and follow directions very well. How difficult would it be to accomplish this?
