I know that Honda sells a storage compartment for the rear hatch but it seems overpriced for what it is. I have a few things that I like to keep back there and in all my previous vehicles, there were spaces on the sides to put things so they didn't move around. There are no such spaces in the Fit.

I was going to just go out and buy a folding divider soft box to put back there for now. Just wondering if anyone has come up with anything better than the Honda option?

 

Just the Honda option for us. One of the nice things about the Honda version is the fact it has straps that allow you to tie down the storage device itself, to keep it from moving around. Another nice thing is the fact it collapses when not in use, freeing up the space it takes. You can save some money by not purchasing it at the dealership.

 

For the small items I'm storing right now I hung a reusable shopping bag off the rear headrest. I can easily remove it, it leaves the floor space open for any other items, and it didn't cost me anything :-)

 

I have the Honda one and like that you can hook it down- I like the three storage compartments for organizing. I thought it was reasonably priced compared to their other Fit accessories. Check with Autoanything or JC Whitney- many other manufacturers make similar storage items.
