'Tuner' lugs as wheel locks?

Question 'Tuner' lugs as wheel locks?

Can I use Gorilla or Muteki lug nuts as wheel locks to prevent theft or will I need those funny 'key' type lug nuts?

Wouldn't the thieves just carry a Gorilla tool?

Recommendations?

they dont even need a gorilla tool, a socket in that size will do the trick. so, no to answer your question.

Any wheel lock recommendations? Just go to auto parts store?

if you are getting lugs, some have wheel locks in the set. i have rays, and they have wheel locks included with key. it looks like a normal lug nut except it has a groove cut into it, the key has a little notch that that groove fits into.

Old thread but to add to what c mack9 said about the Ray's Lugs, the security on the Rays nuts comes from the fact that the "Keyed" lug has has 7 sides instead of 8. So no matter what socket you use it won't work without the key that is included.
