HFP wheels for 2007 Fit are 16" with +55 offset, around 18lbs each wheel.

O my bad I forgot to ask what size tires to. So I am guessing nobody makes a +55 wheel in a 16 17, 4x100 definatly not under 18lbs huh??? is +55 the stock fit sport wheel offset??? cause I want to run a 16 or 17on my ground controls springs all the way down and not have it rub but I want want to wheels to be lighter than stock to, but I am guessing thats to much to ask is it????
No rubbing+slammed+stock+55 offset= impossible???
Or is it???

Spring set up is Photoshop CS4.

The width is 6.5 but I have seen guys go pretty low with the HFP wheels and not have a problem with rubbing. I haven't found any aftermarket wheels with the HFP offset.

Here is their home page.

My buddies at Susquehanna Motorsports sell them on their website.

The Pro Race 1 wheel is available in 15x7 +45 and is touted as being the lightest cast/heat treated competition wheel available. Dunno the exact weight for each size but they start at 13 lbs and go up from there.

Pro Race 2 is available in 16x7 +45 (15.4 lbs).

The Rally 1 wheel in 15x7 +45 weighs 18.7 lbs but then they're designed to be used on gravel rally stages.

There are a bunch of tuner rims too but I didn't spend much time looking at them.
Sorry, I missed this post. I will add them later on today

Wow, looking at the web site I would guess they do a lot of custom in-house work. Looks expensive!

so with a 42 offset on a 17x7 rim I would get some rubbing with a light drop? That sucks balls. I was gonna test fit my RoJa LT5s since they are 14.5lbs/wheel for 17x7. I was hoping they just might clear. Now I dont wanna mess with it.

There is a good chance you will get away with it if you use 195/40x17 tires. There aree sweveral good choices.

wouldn't wanna go smaller than stock because odometer will read higher. I am only down 1.5" on H&R sports, which is a moderate drop, nothin crazy.

Your drop is more than mine

With a +42 or even +45 offset 17" rim I would reccomend 195/40's to avoid rubbing. If you go with a 205 just be careful about the brand, some brands follow the theoretical sizes more carefully than others. Because the DOT regulations (also Transport Canada regulations) allow up to a 7.5% variance a lot of cheaper companies will just rebrand a 215 wide tire as a 205. I had just this problem with Lexani brand tires. BF Goodrich & Falken have a reputation for tires that are a bit smaller than others for the same size.

as far as size size goes, usually 2-3% is acceptable.

Stock (theoretical) diameter comparison ref chart:

Width/Aspect/Rim Size = Diameter (percent compared to stock)

195/55/R15 = 23.44" Dia (stock)
205/50/R15 = 23.07" Dia (98.4%)
205/55/R15 = 23.88" Dia (101.9%)
215/50/R15 = 23.45" Dia (100.1%)

195/45/R16 = 22.91" Dia (97.7%)
195/50/R16 = 23.68" Dia (101.0%)
205/45/R16 = 23.26" Dia (99.2%)
205/50/R16 = 24.07" Dia (102.7%)

195/40/R17 = 23.14" Dia (98.7%)
195/45/R17 = 23.91" Dia (102.0%)
205/40/R17 = 23.46" Dia (100.1%)
205/45/R17 = 24.26" Dia (103.5%)
215/40/R17 = 23.77" Dia (101.4%)
215/45/R17 = 24.62" Dia (105.0%)

That chart is messed up.

How is a 195/45/17 bigger than a 205/45/17? physical impossibility if you do the math

195/40x17 tire is 23.14" tall while stock 185/55x16 is 24.01 and a stock 195/55x15 is 23.44". The odo error for the 195/40x17 tire comopared to 08 tire is 1% or 10 miles per 1000. Compared to the 09 the error is 3.7%, or 37 miles per 1000. On a 3 year lease limited to 36,000 miles its 360 to 1332 miles. You'll get it back with increased mpg.

To check tire diameters use this formula

(section width x 2 x aspect ratio/2540 ) + wheel diameter.

For a 195/45x17:
(195 x 2 x 45 / 2540) plus 17 + 23.90"
For a 205/40x17:
(205 x 2 x 40/ 2540) plus 17 = 23.45"

and a 195/45x17 tire is bigger but not wider than a 205/40x17.

and a 195/45x17 tire is bigger but not wider than a 205/40x17.
I know how it works, I have worked the car biz my whole life. I put a lot of miles on the fit, 22k in the first 9 months of owenership. if anything I would want to oversize to have the odometer read slower miles and have a lower RPM on the freeway.

But on the chart that was posted, it shows a 195/45/17 is larger diameter than a 205/45/17, which is impossible.

And I never run lower than a 45 series tire, I need more sidewall. My 17s with BFG Gforce 225/45/17s are lighter than OEM fit wheel and tire. But with 42 offset no way in hell am I gonna clear an oversized tire unless I raise it back to stock height.

I cannot stress how bad the roads are where I am at, they are ranked the worst in California. I don't ride my racebike as much because the roads can grab your tire and totally change your direction, or swallow your front wheel and you go ass-over-tea-kettle. there have been quite a few accidents due to it. I have bent a lot of rims, don't think I am gonna even try to mess up my nice rims with a tiny sidewall tire, no matter how cool it would look on the fit.

Sorry fixed, should have been 24.26, not 23.26 for the 205/45/17

The percentages are correct

No worries I was just posting the chart up as a quick reference. I had a spreadsheet setup previously.

A 225 17" tire will probably rub even with a +45 wheel.
