I wish jpax still had his fit around so I could take some measurements. Let me dig through my saved files to see if I have that length or even pictures.

Apexanimal, Good job on getting this rolling. This bracket could make rear discs much more attainable. Whats the word on these fitting the GE?

You have probably seen this already, but fellow member Steven Hung has the FastBrakes rear kit on his GE.

Also these pics are from a previous attempt , Thread: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...prototype.html :

anything you have would be helpful

i haven't asked about the ge... once we get the gd going, i'll probably pass that project onto the next person since i don't have a ge and don't have a lot of time to work on all of this - i wouldn't be able to test it and would just end up being a go between...

brake lines: so i found that the corresponding stoptech rear ss brake lines are just under 19"... with the rearward placement of the caliper and its port, i don't think its going to be quite long enough to get to the stock hardline...

i was looking at pictures of the t1r kit, and part of the kit included a new ss brake line set as well as a section of hardline... we need to find out how long the combination is in order for me to figure out what brake lines we need...

parking brake cables: i could use some help to find out what other hondas have the style of parking brake cable as seen below in the pictures... this will help me figure out the correct part number once we figure out the length of the cables that are needed...

the integra cables are between 64-66", and it's reported that the ge cables are between 69-70"...

ok so jpax had fastbrakes do his however he seems to remember using an 87 acura legend coupe parking brake cables. Rockauto has the coupe lines being around 70 1/2" and the sedan lines being around 74"

so i got under the car today to measure the brake lines out for the rear...

i don't think the 19" replacement lines i found are going to be adequate... i think we're going to need at least 21" and i'll probably try to get 23" to be on the safe side...

this length will only go to the first connection and won't replace the soft section... that would require at least another 4" of brake line...

it will be up to you in terms of what brand of ss lines you go with, but i'm trying to stick with a line that has a clear sleeve over the braided ss to prolong its life...

just got word that the first brackets are finished... they will be shipping to me soon...

here is my plan:

1. once i hear that they have shipped, i will be ordering the rotors, pads, and calipers

2. test fit the brackets with rotors, pads, and calipers to ensure that fitment is good

3. if fitment is good, measure needed lengths for brake lines and parking brake cable

4. order brake lines and parking brake cable

5. install everything

6. i profit

7. finalize parts list for everyone

8. everyone profits

I believe the cable that FastBrakes uses is from a newer civic.

The hard lines are easy enough made custom, you can rent the flare tool from any parts place and splice in line. Cheap and easy.

Excited to see this come together. You can always have custom SS lines made. Or get some from summit in different lengths, I think all-star performance or something makes bunch of lines that would work in different lengths.
