Honda iPod Music Link for the Fit

Well I have been doing a lot of research on the Music Link from Honda. The main complaint seems to revolve around the fact that the unit doesn't display text on the radio.

Will this be true for the Fit. The press release from Honda on January 9th states:

Is this true? I have ordered the Music Link and my car is arriving on April 20th, so I am assuming I will be one of the first in the US with a Fit and a Music Link. I will try to install it by the 21st, to see if it works or not. If it doesn't I may return it.

Go visit College Hills Honda online and look up Music link under Civic Accessories - - there's a pdf of the operators instructions -should run about the same in Fit.

Music Link uses voice prompts in place of a visual display - this keeps your eyes on the road.

Don't believe all the whining you read about this - my nephew has it in his Civic and it works fine - you just have to LEARN how to use it.

Also note under Fit Accessories on the same site the install info for Fit is avail - that's the part that scares me. I don't know how I feel about a tech ripping my new car's dash apart when he's never done it before...

Yes there will be no display on the stock deck. So you have to change songs with your IPOD by controlling yourself.

No display - But a synth voice over the stereo that tells you where you are going in your library - sift by playlist, album or title with a alphabetic sort function - you just listen and push buttons - keeping your eyes on the road!!!!
Your iPod stays out of sight in the glovebox, safe and being charged!
