Not sure if the Honda recall web site was updated for the latest Takata recall, but my VIN stated "There are no current safety recalls for this vehicle." The web site was updated on May 19th.

the time between a formal issue of a recall by a vehicle manufacturer and the determination that a recall is warranted may be several months, First, the manufacturer has to determine which vehicles have the Takata bag and that takes a while.
Second the issuance of a recall has to be documented thru the NHTSA and participants so check regularly for at least 3months. There have been statements that Honda did not use Takata bags in Fits but considering the air bags made in NC re pretty close to Mexico thats hard to believe but it could be.

The media is saying to go to safercar.gov to see if a vehicle is affected by this latest recall. If the web site hasn't been updated yet, their advice is meaningless and someone should inform them of that. This could potentially be a major problem and I'd rather know immediately if any of my vehicles are affected. I don't enjoy riding around in a time bomb.
