Next Impala SS - RWD LS3 Powered
And that car is hot. The rear end could use some work, agreed (funny that someone compared it to an Accord). Fuel efficiency isn't going to be a factor in the target market for that car, and GM had better have the common sense to see that and NOT compromise that car in any way for the sake of mpg. Keep it fast, powerful, and fun to drive while making it meet safety standards and I'd gladly buy it to fill the third bay in my garage. Even though it's a GM.

just what to put this out. GM didn't badge engineer the car. the zeta platform is a brand new platform with 4 link rear and struts up in front. v6 base (from STS) v8 at top. (somewhere around 340hp and a lot more torque) with cylinder deactivation and should make a great all round car.

Not too far off topic, but this car....whatever they might make it...is the test mule for the next camaro. Obviously this isn't what the camaro would look like but its sharing some of the same components to the next impala ss or so it seems.

i dont know why people think all v8's have crappy gas mileage... most of the manual versions of the LSx motors get high 20s which isnt that bad considering how fast most right out of the box most of them are...
