Thanks for the offer Dave! Yeah im doing everything to try to get the Kit...I actually think i have a pretty good chance, but well see..But if i do get it ill definetly hit you up on that offer!
from what it sounds like it will be exclusive to the people on the list. What was told to me is that they want deposits because they dont want to sit on any extra kits, which leads me to believe that these will be exclusive to us. For now anyways. Once word gets out that we have the kit and there is more demand for it they may start mass producing it.
My bet is that THAT will be the case- they will make more after we spread the word, then raise the retail price to a comfortable level and continue to sell them on their web site that we happy fitfreaks send other freaks to visit.
But what is the final amount going to be??? You're asking us to put down a deposit on something that has yet to have a finalized price?
What happens IF costs are not what was originally assumed and the final price of the kit is over the original $600 range estimate? Can i cancel and get a refund on my deposit??
Also, what about shipping? Rotors, pads and calipers are not light. How much will shipping be as that is going to be a factor as well.
I don't mean to crap on what you're doing as I fully appreciate how you are helping the community out by arranging all of this, but these are some questions that I think need to be answered before I plan to put any money down on this item.
I respectfully disagree. Any rear disc conversion for under 1K is a bargain, especially from an established name brand like Skunk2. Sure, if they tried to double the suggested price, you just send them a polite cancellation, then call your credit card issuer and dispute the charges. Keeping in mind that they have CALLED YOU to explain the price and other details as they ask for the deposit. Any change after you have entered the agreement is fraud, and you have all the legal protection in the world.
I have some bad news....Im going to have to pass on this EXTRAORDINARY deal...But at this point of my life i cant make all my decisions for myself..Dave ill eventually get it, and i wont forget about what you said about helping me put it on lol..
i can throw down a deposit in 2 weeks, but bills have taken this paycheck

Tyler,
No sweat. Nothing is a bargain if you can't afford it. There are other, less expensive things that will have as much or more benefit to your Fit, like the Progress sway bar.

Good point man, exhaust and sway bar will be coming soon!

If you can swing it with your budget, buy both at the same time. It will be easier to mount the sway bar if you take off the stock exhaust first, do the sway bar, and last step bolt up the Megan muffler. All while the back of the car is up on jack stands.
