Yay, Earthmover84 Randy- way to go! Come on guys, out of 26 names on the original list, surely some of you were serious? From past experience with a different brake manufacturer (Stainless Steel Brakes, New York) and a different vehicle (Ford Bronco II), I can promise you the following: You'll never do a rear brake job because discs/pads last 2-3 times longer than drums, you'll have an e-brake that can stop your car all by itself, and hold the car on ANY hill by itself without the auto trans. in park, and install time will be under an hour (you don't even have a rear axle/differential to take apart for installation), and your ABS will work even better than it does now.

I can't say this is fact, but my prediction is that this kit will INCREASE resale value because of better brake performance than stock, and the absence of maintenance/repair.

If you are late on car payments because of finance problems, then not being able to go through with this is understandable. Otherwise, you can't beat this deal that Chris worked out for us. It's a Can't Lose opportunity.

Are they going to continue to make and sell the Kit or is it a one time offer, and only for the people on the list?(sorry for all the questions)

from what it sounds like it will be exclusive to the people on the list. What was told to me is that they want deposits because they dont want to sit on any extra kits, which leads me to believe that these will be exclusive to us. For now anyways. Once word gets out that we have the kit and there is more demand for it they may start mass producing it.

But what is the final amount going to be??? You're asking us to put down a deposit on something that has yet to have a finalized price?

What happens IF costs are not what was originally assumed and the final price of the kit is over the original $600 range estimate? Can i cancel and get a refund on my deposit??

Also, what about shipping? Rotors, pads and calipers are not light. How much will shipping be as that is going to be a factor as well.

I don't mean to crap on what you're doing as I fully appreciate how you are helping the community out by arranging all of this, but these are some questions that I think need to be answered before I plan to put any money down on this item.

Like i said in the first post, After I sens the List to Skunk2 a rep will contact each individual and explain the details such as price, shipping, deposit amount, ETA, at that point you can decline to leave a deposit. The price of the Kit will not change suddenly after they tell us how much it will be BEFORE deposit is made.

at the time they contact you, you can refuse. They have none of your credit card info so how can they lock you in. you know?

Tyler,
If you wind up buying the kit, just like with my offer of help with the Progress bar, I can help you with this too (meaning I'll do it with your assistance in your garage or driveway).

If you can't afford it, don't worry about it. Once fitfreaks get the kits out on the market, you can buy yours later on. It will just cost more.
