CV axle won't come out

I'm kind of shocked I haven't been able to find this online by searching but my passenger CV axle just will not come out. Is there a trick to it? Looks like it's coupled at the center support and not the transmission itself so there is only so much force I can apply to it. I've been twisting/prying and it just flexes that center support. I could remove that piece but not sure what that would get me since I really can't get at the axle on the transmission side.

Well I put the pry bar on the CV axle and gave it a couple swift blows with a hammer and it popped right out. 30 minutes later, I had the passenger side re-assembled and the drivers side changed and re-assembled. This is actually a very easy job...just gotta learn a couple tricks.

Hammer, pry bar and coat hangers are the best tools!
