GD3 SRS airbag cover

GD3 SRS airbag cover
Just curious if it was possible to change out the cover piece on the dashboard without messing with the airbag unit. Those scratches on it really bug me, I’m used to super clean dashboards
Any feedback highly appreciated

The bag is attached to the underside of this cover.
There is an option to change during an Airbag recall(if recall had not been completed:
1) get replacement cover
2) bring it with car for recall
3) the tech removes this cover and transfers it to new airbag anyways no no extra labor cost is involved
Note: while it is possible to get a clean cover from the junk yard, it may not easy match with your dash due to time related distortion caused by exposure to sun, etc. (had not so nice experience matching together 2 used steering column covers that came from different cars)
