Needing Help

While driving my fit for any more than say 3 miles or so i begin to smell something burning. At the same time this began i realized if idling in park and my A/c is on it bogs down tremendously and will die. I believe the burning smell is coming from the serpentine belt. the belt does not have to much tension either. Also prior to this the car would squeal if a/c was on at low speeds, coming to stops or taking off from lights. Any advice would be appreciated Thank You

Had similar thing happen, was a seized idler pulley for us. If you're sure its from the serpentine belt I'd say take a look yourself, replace it yourself, or bring it in. Beats snapping an belt and stalling out due to dead battery on the highway. Be safe!

Just chiming in to say I think Azuki's thought on this is a good one. I'd start the car with the hood up and take and look with a flashlight and see if you can see a pulley not turning while the belt gets dragged across it.
