Question Error Code P1351

Hi Guy's Long time,

Issue: Several weeks ago i started to feel like my 2005 JDM Honda Fit was hesitating to drive, it's gotten worse a over the days, so i went to my mechanic he did a diy test and after that i put it on a OBD2 scanner it gave me the "Error Code P1351"
My mechanic told me only 1 coils had the problem but i ordered all 4 in case of

I ordered 4 new coils and there were on there way.

So i did not drive the car anymore i started it once just to go pump my tires and get a haircut that like 5min from my home, so no heavy traffic, cam back home and left it there.

Saturday i went to start it so i can bring it to the mechanic while i was waiting for the coils, tried to started it hesitated to turn over and when it did not even a minute it stopped, i tried it again since then it did not turn over anymore.

So i got the coils replaced them all and replaced the sparkplugs, tried it again and nothing.

My question right now:
Is there anyone that been thru the same problem and what did you do to fix it or does anybody know what i need or can do?

Thanks in advance

I haven't experienced that particular code but I'd start with the basics: is the battery good, and did any fuses blow as a result of the failing coil? Depending on the model, the ignition coils may be powered via fuses 7 and 9, 2 and 24, or 33 in the under-dash fuse box (all 15 A).

What engine is in your Fit? Just checking as the i-DSI engines have 8 plugs and coils.

Hi Guy's Thanks for the help, did some trouble shooting found out it was the map sensor.

Unplugged it, try to start, started stepped slightly on the trottle, to keep it going plugged the map sensor back in.

Turn off the car, started it again, check engine light on, scanned it, it gave me the error code for map sensor, finished working on the car.

Started the car the next day took it for a spin, driving smooth like nothing ever happened to it, no check engine light no nothing.

I was going to spray the map sensor with some electronic fluid just to clean it up a bit, but did not get to that yet.

Have no issues anymore, thanks for everything guy's

Great to know it's working for you now! Maybe the earlier P1351 code was from the mechanic's testing rather than being the actual root cause. Unplugging the MAP will probably make it go into failsafe operation (default maps, high idle, etc.). Maybe an intermittent connection?

For reference, here's the troubleshooting procedure for P1351-P1354:
DTC Troubleshooting: P1351 (15-5), P1352 (15-6), P1353 (15-7), P1354 (15-8) (5MT)

...and the normal operating specs for the MAP sensor are here:
Fuel and Emissions System Description - Supplement (L15A 5MT)

I believe the ignition control modules on these are built into the individual coil-on-plug units.
