so I recently replaced my condenser and did a pretty big overhaul and repair of the wiring on my compressor. Compressor looked good mechanically and turns with relative ease.

System holds vacuum and I refilled with R12a and it was running perfectly with good pressures. Fuse was blown and had to replace while doing the refill.

System ran well during testing with gauges for about 15 minutes. While driving with ac on a hot day, fuse blew again after about 10 minutes of usage. I knew my clutch plate was bent so I got a replacement clutch plate. The clutch pulley still has bad runout but it is better with the new clutch plate. Air gap is a bit over spec in some areas (.7 mm gauge can pass with little drag) but is not under spec anywhere).

now when I run the ac, as soon as the clutch engages l, fuse blows. Any suggestions? I doubt it’s a short, I recently repaired the wiring and made sure no bare wires were present.

I would like to replace the clutch, pulley and coil but I can’t find any kits for the Fit. Only CRV or Civic.

You refilled with R12? I thought GD Fits used R134a..
