Hi, I'm trying to get my husband a set of struts/shocks for his 2013 Honda Fit. I'm looking for some recommendations. I've heard Monroe and KYB are good. Any thoughts on these? Thanks in advance!

I hope our forum gurus will respond with recommendations that speak directly to how the product will affect the resulting ride. I suggest that we speak in terms of the following rubric:

Stage 0: OEM suspension
Stage 1: Slightly improved over OEM. Noticeably former, but no big deal.
Stage 2: Half-way beween track set-up and OEM
Stage 3: You can get started on autocross

Okay, now. If you are looking at me like "This guy is a pain in the ass". . . yeah, that's me.

 

If you just want a replacement for stock suspension, KYB is great.

 

Is KYB the manufacturer of the OEM part? I have a vague recollection that Honda was using them throughout the years.

 

I've always heard KYB connected to Honda.

I personally am debating the strut/coil setup from Gabriel. $96 per side via rockauto, any thoughts?
