2008 Honda fit A/C issue - need some help/ideas
Hello all,
Last year my AC compressor started making noise towards end of summer. I pulled relay out so it wouldn’t run over the winter. I just replaced compressor (had it evacuated and filled at a shop with AC machine) AC compressor will not turn on now. I have checked the relay (replace it with known working relay and swap places) I have checked the fuses all seem to be good. If I bypass the relay with paper clip under the hood fuse box clutch will engage and blows cold air. I have also got under the car and put test light on a ground and was probing the pins in the plug where ac compressor plugs in (3 pins) when I touch one of them the condenser fan turns on (it also hasn’t been turning on) either way I can’t get the ac to work and I’m not sure how to test everything. I have test light and multimeter as well. Just not sure where I should start at this point.
kind of weird because when I pulled the relay last year everything worked great other than compressor was making noise, I didn’t want to keep running it so just pulled the relay out.
Thanks for the help.

Turns out the thermal sensor on the new compressor or the wiring was bad, I swapped out the wiring from the old compressor and it is now working. Don’t know if the sensor was bad or just some issue with the wiring, either way it is working now.
