2007 Fit Cranks Longer Than Usual
2007 Fit Cranks Longer Than Usual
Hello! My ‘07 Fit has been taking an extra couple seconds to start in the mornings. I’ve attached a video of what it sounds like, below. I noticed this about 3 days ago, after a long~ish (150 mile) trip. Also got gas from a different pump during the trip, not sure if that could contribute to anything at all! Any thoughts as to what it could be?

Hi and Welcome!
Unfortunately it could be lots of things. Carbon on the intake valves, dirty fuel injectors, leaky injectors (that pools some gas in the cylinder making it too rich and a bit harder to start), dirty air filter, worn spark plugs, weak fuel pump, the list goes on and on. Could start easy with a full tank of high quality gas with fuel injector cleaner, I like Chevron with Techron: https://www.chevronwithtechron.com/e...ity-fuels.html
Can also scan the car with a code reader to see if there are any codes stored.
Let us know.

I was also experiencing these issues until my car no longer starts. After replacing my battery, coil packs and spark plugs I’m still not getting a start. My mechanic confirmed that my fuel pump has gone out so I’m waiting for that part in the mail. Im crossing my fingers that this will resolve my issue if not I’m burning this thing 😂
