Question Second gear grinding on left turns

Greetings fellow community!

I've been facing a weird problem on my 2007 LXL M/T Fit. It is making a grinding/clinking noise on second gear but just on left turns. The transmission was check twice, replaced bearings and "planetary satellite box" (sorry, english is not my first lenguage and I don't know the name of this part. That is the name in portuguese). The underparts was checked and nothing seems to be loose. Anyone has faced the same problem, or has any ideia of solution?

I doubt that it is a gear problem, it is probably that it requires speed and a certain turn radius which is not feasible in 3rd or 1 st. Have you tried clutching in immediately when the sound occurs? Does the grinding continue with the clutch in and the car rolling at about the same speed in the turn?

i suspect the answer is yes and I believe that grinding when turning is usually attributed to dying cv joint (axle).

Could it be an improperly seated axle in the transmission? If you have a car on a lift you could try and pull the axle in and out of the transmission and look for a fluid leak. There is about 1 mm of play in the axle going into the tranny if I recall.

If I recall correctly, the noise stops when I clutch in. Need to check for sure. I'm gonna try to check the seated axle in the transmission too. Thank you for the advices, friend. I'll come back with the test results later.

Check damaged or worn engine mounts too, the drive train may be shifting around while turning.
