No crank

After replacing the steering control module this 08 fails to crank. Battery is new and fully charged, everything else works.
All the connectors went back ok, the replacement part has the same numbers.
Any suggestions?

Additionally the code reader does not connect whereas it did before. All fuses test ok. Is there a relay or something I'm missing?
It's a difficult switch involving pulling on the fuse board but as much as I can see nothing has been dislodged.

I picked up my 2007 Honda Fit and a week later my vehicle would not crank. It turned out to be a bad fuel pump so I replaced that and my car is back up and running. Turn your key on to ignition on and see if you hear any sound from your fuel pump area.

Fuel pump runs, does not crank. Everything worked fine before exchanging the EPS module except for the intermittent steering.
Puzzling why the reader can't connect.

Code reader works after a battery dis and reconnect, shows no codes.
Ignition switch lites up the black starter wire but starter does not spin.
Jump black wire at starter and the engine cranks.
Where does the starter wire go from the ig switch before it goes to the starter?
I assume there is a safety switch somewhere.

Anyone know why there seems to be no factory service manual for the 08 Fit?
I find 07 and 09+.

Further progress
I can start the engine by jumping the black wire to the solenoid with the key on.
Engine running, everything works as it should, electronic steering included.
So the only problem is the start circuit that I can bypass.
As a last resort I will tie into the start wiring at the switch and run a wire direct to the starter.
But I would love to figure this out.

Hmm, I wish i were more mechanically inclined to be able to assist you. It sounds like something to do with your electrical? Keep us updated on what you were able to solve.

Fixed - But

I solved it by splicing a wire into the start wire at the ignition switch and running it across to the passenger side connector that has the wire coming from the starter, Could not disconnect that wire so clipped it and connected it to the wire spliced to the start switch. It starts, everything works, but it's still a mystery.
