08 Fit Sport won't start despite brand new battery.
X-Posted to the Honda Fit Owner's Facebook Group:
Question for all you fine Honda fit owners, especially those with some vehicular know-how. My 2008 Fit Sport has served me well throughout the years. Unfortunately yesterday, certainly through no fault of my own wink emoticon, the lights were left on, and the battery drained Needless to say, the car wouldn't start today, I turned the keys, and… nothing. Since the battery was due for a replacement anyway, so I went and got a new one… but still nothing. Other than changing my oil & breaks, I'm a noob when it comes to cars, so any ideas?

Is the new battery charged? Presumably yes, but...it may be worth trying a jump start just in case.
Are the connections to it good and tight? Do you have any signs of (electrical) life—any lights that come on at all? Did you possibly get it installed backwards? (Reverse polarity could cause all sorts of trouble and damage, so I hope not...)

More info needed.
Same symptom as when the battery was dead?
Does the engine crank at a normal speed, or crank slow, reluctantly?
Do the lights work normally even tho' the car won't start?
I'd double-check the battery connections anyway...some require shims to fit the Honda's battery clamps. The clamps can be tightened all the way but the clamps can still turn... = NO GOOD.
