New to forum 2007 sport. Need valve adjustment help.
I decided to do the valve adjustment at 11800. I got things apart but found exhaust valves on cylinder 1 and 4 were not opening that I could get a gauge to them. I set the rest of the valves and put things back together. When I start the engine it revs twice and stalls out. It is throwing a code po113 which is the air temp sensor. I replaced the sensor no change. I am getting 5 volts at the sensor. Looking for a direction.
Hopefully, you also took care of exhaust valves on cyl 1 and 4.
Behaving like ECU does not have good contact to sensor.........I'd make sure the plug is making good contact with the sensor, and sensor itself reads resistance, believe between 0.4 and 4 ohms. It is a thermistor, it changes wit temp. Also test the connector red/yellow reads 5 volts to the vehicle ground. If good contact and still ECU does not see sensor, then continuity would have to be tested between other wire, believe gray/green, and ECU is OK.
You could also try disconnecting battery, waiting a few seconds, and reconnect to reset ECU.

You need to rotate the crankshaft by hand between adjusting each cylinder's valves. There's no one position you can put the engine in that will let you adjust all the valves at once. Some people will give you short-cuts to reduce the number of times you turn the crank, but I have gotten sloppy results trying that myself. One cylinder at a time is the proper procedure. Adjust a cylinder, turn, adjust a cylinder, turn...
You start by putting the engine at top dead center according to the camshaft pulley marks and crankshaft mark. This puts cylinder 1 at TDC between the compression and power strokes, where the intake and exhaust valves are guaranteed to be completely closed. Adjust the valves on cylinder 1 (closest to the pulleys). Then rotate the crank pulley 180° clockwise (cam pulley rotates 90°) and adjust the valves on cylinder 3. Rotate another 180° (crank pulley will show TDC, cam pulley will be upside down), adjust cylinder 4 (closest to the transmission). Rotate a final 180°, adjust cylinder 2.
