Exotic looking Front Grill?

When I first started lurking at fitfreak I remember someone trying to sell some exotic looking front grills. I thought they looked like gold or silver mesh perhaps. I used the search function for hours it seems without finding the grills I was looking for. I might be using the wrong search terms but grill, I thought, was pretty basic. Any help would be appreciated. I've found grills not that many and nothing metallic. Thanks in advance!

I think most people have made their own out of gutter guard or expanded metal. You can get it at Lowes or Home Depot.

bad memory

Maybe I'm making it up (quite possible) but I swear I remember someone selling mesh or what looked like chain mail grills. Maybe they made them. Who knows.

I wanted a little more OEM look but I really enjoyed reading Leonine's threads. He's innovative, resourceful and takes criticism superbly. I laughed and think Leonine should run for office. I'd vote for him and he brightened my boring Sunday morning. Down the road when my Fit's a little older (I've got 8K) I might just try his Mod! I swear there were some OEM looking grills that went for a Leonine like effect (chain mail). Any more leads?

Feddup I know this doesn't really help you out, but I plan on making my own grill out of perforated aluminum. I kinda tested it out in front of the radiator as you can see in this pic. Just look for some metal and experiment

Actually I'm sort of bouncing ideas around to start with and I like the ideas you and leonine have. I just checked ebay for honda + fit + grill and many of the items for sale weren't much different then yours. Thanks for the ideas. I'd rather not pay to have something painted Blackberry Pearl and I'd rather not constrict air flow and I'd like for the end result to look OEM. Those conditions will be pretty limiting. In other words I'm going to be moving pretty slow. My car only has 8K and I'm in no hurry to make it look old. That will happen naturally! Thanks for all the ideas. I've got nothing against the Home depot solutions. They're often the best and give the creator the greatest sense of pride.

I actually used the keywords
grill + honda + fit

Maybe I was misled by all the Honda barbq grills there are available.
