100 000km and engine light came on

I have just put on 100 000km(60 000 miles) and my engine light has come on. The car is running fine , is this for something change plugs?? has any one had this happen??? is there a way to check codes without going to the dealer or using an obII?

autozone will run the codes for you. think it's free.
refer to this list once you get the obdII code

Yeah, just to double check, are you sure it's the check engine light, or is it the maintenance required light? Two totally different things.

yes it was the check engine light, and i follow the maintanence schedule.
honda checked the codes and it was the oxegen sensor . Luckily i have the extended warranty and it is covered. At first the service advisor said it was only cover to 60,000 km, but i checked with the warranty sales rep and he found out it was covered . It would have cost me $400 for the sensor with instalation plus $52 for the diagnosas.
