Check engine light problem
HI, fit freaks. I am the owner of a 2012 Honda Fit. I was driving along loving life with my fit when my husband noticed I needed new tires. So we went to Big O in Placerville, CA. They put on four new tires and gave an alignment as a package deal. I took it home and parked it. I got in the next day and check engine light was on. We had O'Reilly do a free check engine light test. It produced four codes:
1.PO171 lean code
2.65-11 wheel speed sensor
3.13-11 Brake fluid sensor
4.61-11 VSA modulator.
Am I right in assuming Big O Tires is to blame for the check engine light coming on in the first place. Is it like a domino effect when the light comes on it automatically runs lean. I took I back to them and they "deleted" codes and again it ran with no check engine light for 1 day.. Got in it today with check engine light on again. I will bet money that it will produce same 4 codes when I take it to O'Reilly''s tomorrow.
Am I going to have to take it to the dealer to get resolution? I cant afford dealership prices. The car has less than 20,k. Please advise asap. Thank you all.

Hmm.
Your 2, 3, and 4 are likely related to something Big O did while doing the alignment. They may have unplugged a sensor or damaged a wire. Did they visually inspect the car when you took it back?
The lean code is likely unrelated. It could be a "soft" code that the car already had, but was not triggered enough times to set off the CEL.
I would go back to Big O and let them know the CEL is back on and ask if they can look it over and pull the codes again.
