I love my Fit! Gas Mileage
So I "upgraded" from a 1992 Subaru Legacy AWD to a 2007 Fit.. Wow what a difference in fuel consumption..
Am I right in saying that the tank "size" is approximately (48 Litres)? I'm still on tank 1, have put 288 km on the car and its just below half.. How is this possible!? So will I be getting approx 450km city and 500km highway/tank?
Sorry for the Canadian units.. hehe

Congrats on buying a Fit! I love the MPG too and the fact that it is a really fun car to drive. You're the one who bought the Canadian LX model? Post pics.
The tank is actually 41 liters. On the highway (going close to the speed limit, I can get 500 to 600 km to a tank. All city...I can get 400-450km.

Why are you using metric when you're in Boston? lol.
My one long highway trip yielded 277 miles at just past half tank, so I dunno what that converts to in kilometers, but I'm sure you'll be pleased even more now.

178 miles at just below half-tank is about 32 - 33 mpg (13-14 km/L); the last half of the tank reading will go much quicker. It will 'turn-on' the gas level warning at about 30 miles from true empty. (don't do that; running injectors dry is bad news)
your mileage is about what most users get despite some of the extravagent claims here.
So far I've won 3 lunches from guys claiming 50+ mpg when put to the test. If the roads here were really flat 40 mpg is possible maybe but not 50.
getting 277 miles (446 km) at just below half tank is claiming about 40 to 44 mpg (17-18 km/L). A nice flat road and 60 mph can do it.
