Did you check both fuse locations? [under the hood and inside the dash]

the BCM fuse is found underneath the engine bay next to the battery in the triangle shaped fuse box. I'm sure that you burnt it when u cut the wires. It should be a mini ATX fuse, not one of the bigger ones.

Cargo Area Light, Ceiling Light and Audio Unit all get power from FS8 10Amps fuse which is in the under-hood fuserelay box.

Check this fuse. It will blow if you have cut both the wires together.

I have the wiring diagram in front of me and there is not other fuse in this circuit

Oops,

There is also FS1 80Amps in the Under-hood Fuserelay box and main fuse also 80Amps in the same circuit.

definitley 10Amps fuse will blow before 80Amps. If any of the 80Amps fuse is blown the vehicle will be dead. Which is not in your case.

you cut both wires together?? ai yi yi....

today in Auto class this guy was taking off a battery terminal.. the positive one and his wrench hit the body panel... i was RIGHT NEXT TO THAT SHIT... omg

He was traumatized after that so i had to tighten the bolts FOR HIM... i screamed and he turned all red cuz he jumped back and everyone laughed at him.. hahah i feel bad But it's all good cuz i made him ghetto-rig the starter so his partner can do the compression test on the car we were working on, 76' Dodge Dart. Nasty condition but DROOL for potential sexy car.

So anyways the moral here is be fcking careful when you're dealing with electricity :]

whenever ANYTHING electrical stops working.....CHECKING THE FUSES IS ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS TO DO (after checking that it's turned on, then checking if it's plugged in)!!!!!

Bringing this back up from the dead but...
I just bought an 08, same problems, no dome light, radio has no power, door locks only function when ignition is on... Fuse #8 (backup) in the engine compartment is good (I changed it out with a new one just to make sure), all the other fuses look good.
Any ideas of what the problem could be?

Thanks.
