When my light comes on, I estimate mileage, then figure that against 1.5 gallons to see just how far I can go before I have to fill up. I'm guessing that I an extra three miles out of that tank just squeezing the steering wheel, rocking back and forth, and chanting 'c'mon baby'.
63 miles ... we have a winner here he he he

I think thats about perfect, 30 miles. I got 40 out of it before with the light on, but I think its like just over a gallon thats in there.

Along the same line has anyone verified the 10.8 gallon capacity in the manual? Is this with the car completely empty? Does this include the rather long filler pipe that connects the fuel tank to the filler nozzle?

Thanks!

My fuel light came on last night, and I drove an additional 25 miles to fill up in Missouri today. Pump said it took 9.54 to top off.

The tank holds 10.8 gallons, not including what will fit in the pipe if you want to cram it in. As a test, another member (Oh heck, what is Shawn's username in here?) filled it up until there was gas at the cap and ended up with something like 13 gallons. It isn't recommended, as raw fuel can end up in your evap canister and ruin it. Within a tenth or two, the pump should shut off when the tank is full. I usually let it click off and then hit it one more time for about 2 tenths before the pump clicks off again.

The low-level fuel light will come on when you've got around 7 liters of fuel remaining. That's 1.84 US gal to you guys.

Mine comes on with about 1.8 gallons left. Although i usually fill it up when it gets near 1/4 tank or a little less which is around 9 gallons.
