Is Homie trying to say rich people suck or poor people suck, exactly?

I'm saying you either have it so made in the shade you don't realize it and ultimately trash it, or you either have it so bad you blame everyone except yourself.
Neither situation is conducive to furthering society, but it is an unfortunately mainstream occurrence in the U.S. That's not EVERYONE, but a majority, so there's no point in getting pouted if you don't fall in as a statistic.

There are no impoverished people; only impoverished environments. Poor or Wealthy, no one sucks - the circumstances that surround them, if they allow them to, suck.

i guess that's a nice way to not really say anything and be stereotypical at the same time.

I mean, i've had several rear-enders, and it wasn't bad luck at any time. It was me being careless and inattentive! The last one i had, i assumed the guy in front of me would go through the yellow light! I would have! He didn't! I slid into his trailer hitch! Duh!!

Just tonight, i had some bad luck coming into my driveway and scraped the bottom of my fit's front lip! No really, i was mad at my teenage son and went into the driveway too fast, and scraped it. Never let your temper get the best of you while driving. Don't throw stuff at other people, either, like phones and junk. They break, and you lose all your contacts and it costs money.

Not to turn this into a long boring discussion, but part of what has gone wrong with this country is that nobody wants to stand up and take responsibility for what they do any more. It's "bad luck," or "not my fault," or "i'm the wrong color" or "my self-esteem is bad." just own up to the sh!t you do and fix it. (not talking to the op, but all of us.)

oh, and ps. Fitfreak is the nicest forum. We even meet each other irl sometimes.
exactly!!!

Very well said. Alot of people create careers out of playing "victim". It is an easy way not to own up and take responsibility for one's own actions. After all, if you have no role in the situation...how could anyone possibly blame you. If these people never change the way they think - their circumstances will never change as well. The sadest part is that too many people involved with playing "victim" as a way of life - don't even realize what they are doing to themselves.

Guys, I think OP is not gonna respond anymore. We all know its not bad luck already. I hope she got the parts she needs, but most importantly, learn to take care and respect the things and people around her...
