Getting a clunk noise in front end
I have put springs on recently and yesterday i started getting a clunk noise in the front end of my GD3 as if something is loose. and i can fell it hit with the brake is at. it usually comes when there is hard steer or when i go over a bump. anyone know what the hell it is? Its an 08 Fit i have not even made a year with the car yet til May.
^what he said. you can get a clanging sound if your end links are loose. also check to make sure you've tightned all of the bolts down.
k will do i been searching online.. and a lot of people are saying to change the sway bar bushings... but do you really think they will wear out that fast i just got the car in may 08 and its a daily.
yeah after you install the springs you tighten the top as much as you can then you put on your wheels and lower it and it should travel up some more and thats when you tighten it all the way down as much as you can. if you didnt do that then thats most likely the noise
damn, towelie and i tightened that shit as hard as we could... well mess around with it again to see.. i been riding around with my springs for 2 weeks and now this shit just happened yesterday

Since you just installed new (probably lowering) springs check for free play in the springs in the shock seats. That usually arises when the installation didn't have the ends of the springs seated against the spring stop when the spring was released from the spring compressor. That akllows the spring to rotate as it compresses and rebounds and the spring hits the stop.
Another possibility is the antisway bar as it is somewhat loosely bound and it can rap against the frame as it winds and unwinds. thats possible regardless of new springs.
Otherwise check all nuts and bolts for proper tightness.
And check for interference between any of the suspension members and the shocks or linkages.
Irregular clunk. 2010 stick shift
I get an irregular clunk mostly on bumpy roads. I put the car on my friend’s lift. After pushing/pulling on various steering/suspension components he pushed up up on the passenger side tie Rod and the noise came from where the tie rod goes into the steering rack which is consistent with where the noise sounded like when I was driving it. More to come!
