Fujita SRI

I apologize in advance for starting a new thread on the topic of intakes but after multiple searches, I could not find answers. I am searching for a SRI, and Fujita comes to mind.... as does K&N. I also see that the T1R is popular but being that I'm not looking to spend major bucks on the Fit (it's my daily/weekday car), therefore the T1R and the K&N seem out of reach. I have had a Weapon R intake on a previous car and did not like the fit and finish 1 bit, but the sound was appealing.
My specific question is, how is the fit and finish on the Fujita SRI? From searching it seems that it takes some playing around to get the pipe to line up w/ the TB. And from Fujita's own pictures, it seems like the filter is rubbing against the radiator cap.

I think fujita is one of the better brands these days. if the element or filter is too long and rubbing, just get a shorter one with similar material. injen and AEM all have elements one could try.... just a thought.

I had the Fujita SRI on for about a month or so. The fitment isn't actually that great. Mine sat crooked from the TB a little bit. I dad to toy around with it to get it just right. Even when it's just right the filter still sits really close to the main coolant line which gets real hot. Also, my hood was rubbing against the piping causing black buildup on the pipe. You also have to remove one of the coolant lines which doesn't make sense to me. Ended up spilling coolant all over. My suggestion would be to get a K&N drop in filter or a more reputable brand intake.

Pros - Sounded awesome and I got better gas mileage.
Cons - Poor Fitment, Throttle Reponse at low RPMs.

Fujita is a great intake I got for over 2 years now. If install propely using the harware you will not have any issue with rubbing any where and also you will be enjoying a great sound...

Thanks for the recent replies.... I got the Apexi SRI instead.... there are no fitment issues, has that OEM look, and great filter.
The "problem" I had was that the instructions were all in Japanese.... but still able to do everything in 45 minutes.
Some ppl may feel the Apexi intake can be worst than other branded SRI.... but IMO (nothing scientific), any SRI will suck up hot air, doesnt really matter if the filter is slightly more towards the front of the battery.

That's why I went back to stock. In the summer when it's real hot, the heatsoak under the hood is crazy. There's such a big difference at low RPM's when it's hot outside. My car was idling rougher and just didn't feel right. I'm monitoring the mileage I'm getting on this tank to see if I get any less which I probably will. I'll sacrifice 2 MPG for driveability though.
