Recaro Seats air bags

dose anyone know how to "fix" the air bag light after a seat swap? i think people have used jumpers to keep the SRS light from going off. i want to pick up a seat of DC5 Recaros but i don't wanna throw a SRS light.

I know of a way to do it when you install an steering and quick release, but I dont think it works the same for the seats

You could also take the gauage cluster out and put electrical tape over the LED behind the gauge face to hide the light. This was one solution that came up for the TPMS light being on for people who change wheels a lot.

if the light is on.. none of the airbags work.

Damn, didn't think of that! A jumper is the right answer then...

A piece of wire isn't going to provide it. I've never done it, but I believe you're going to need to find the resistance of the airbag unit at the plug in question, then wire up some resistors to provide the proper amount.

Then there's the passenger detection weight system thingy - I don't know how you'll go about spoofing that. Haven't gotten that far in my research yet - only done some light digging through the Helms to figure out how it all works.
