4K to go

I rolled 96,000 the other day and thankfully I still have nothing to report.

Well, maybe...the hole in the carpet where the dead pedal should have been has gotten awful and I keep catching my foot on it, but it is partially because I have been too lazy to order the aftermarket dead pedal.

My clutch is starting to feel like it has a bit of a dead spot in it, but it wouldn't really suprise me all that much if I need a clutch soon.

Any gearbox noise? Still on the OE struts/shocks? How about valve adjustment? Sorry for all the questions I'm just curious, I won't get there till next year sometime...

Still on the original everything...no gearbox noises (that I notice, anyway).

I hit 97k today.

I have never had a valve adjustment done...might look into that.

That is very promising.... I will hit 97k in about 9 more years if I can stay alive that long.

We can trade cars for a bit if you want to even things out a bit.

I am hoping I can hit 150k with few, if any, problems. At the rate I am going now, that is about 18 months away. At that time I'll have it within 6 months of being paid off.

Busy month...98,875 on the odo at the end of the day today. No wonder I am sick of driving...I may put 4000 or more on this month...all that and only one trip has been an overnighter.

I sat in a new one the other day when I was getting my oil changed.

Though I am not as big a fan of the exterior, the interior is so much better. The dead pedal might be the biggest improvement, but the entire interior is much more Acura-like than mine. I really like the dual gloveboxes, and it seemed like there was an extra inch or more of legroom in the drivers seat.

The rear headrests are great...not having to move the front seats to flip them down is awesome, and I like the extra storage when the rear seats are folded up.

My goal is still 150k miles on this one...by then hopefully they'll have either a Fit Si or at least a Fit with a moonroof.

That makes since considering the fleet of cool cars that you have to drive.... My wife bought a new Forester in May and has driven it a total of 1500 miles..... She still likes to drive her 95 GMC Sierra a few times a month, like when it rains so her new car can stay clean in the barn.
