coilover question . .

I heard from a mechanic that each time you lower your car, you need an alignment . .

Does this rule also apply if you have coilovers?

I don't know much about coilovers so i posted this, kindly help me.

Thank you. .

Yup. Any time you change ride height, or change just about anything on the suspension, you need an alignment.

you answered your own question. If you change ride height, you "should" realign for that height...

You answered your question in the OP

Just FYI, when you lower the car your toe is changed. This is the single most vital spec that causes premature / uneven tirewear.

when i got my lowering spring installed, i did not get an alignment.

I got it aligned after a couple of months when i noticed uneven wear, can that cause any damage to my suspension?

No... but lowers the lifetime of your tires.
