Has anyone tinted their mirrors?

I don't think it would look half bad with those yellow or light blue ones. Has anyone done this before?

I'm starting to wonder if you could just buy pre-cuts of colored 3m film to apply over the mirror surface.

Lemme know what you think or know. Thanks!

Why would you want to do this? The oem tinted mirrors don't just have a coating on them, the coloring is in the glass to help reduce glare

I dunno, I kinda like the look of colored mirror. I saw a guy driving an EP with amber colored mirrors and it looked pretty cool.

I guess it doesn't sound too practical though.

it depend on what color is car...... and DIY tint..... there pro and con and the con really out weigh the pro..... the DIY usually fade or change color over the years and if not install properly air bubble and the dust damage the tint....

if done right tinted side mirrors can be pretty effective reducing glare. i know cause my old (very old..) G20 had tinted mirrors from the factory and worked well.
