mysterious noise

Hello all,

I've recently purchased a certified preowned GD3 after my insurance company totaled my RSX. It wasn't my fault. Anyhow, overall I like the fit quite a bit and I can deal with the rattles, especially with the cold front that came through. There's one noise that I can't understand and has kept me unease. I don't know how to describe it so here's the link. If you crank the sound as loud as you can, you can tell there's little rocks or bubbles of some sort at :30 into the video...

It's coming from the engine bay or underneath the shifter, I could not tell.

If anyone can shed some light or make suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it.

It's a 2007 Auto Fit Sport with little less than 33,000 miles.

Regards,
Bobek

your car sounds like a bicycle coasting.

i think it's in the shifter or shift knob.

I don't think this sound is normal... I think someone else here posted the same rock / pebbles noise in their AT as well... I may pay a visit to the dealer this coming week.

The mysterious noise has been found. To anyone who has a gurgling noise, rock noise or pebble noises, this issue is the well documented low coolant issue. There's a rubber tubing inside the coolant reservoir that got disconnected from the white cover. How? I don't know. Reattaching the rubber tubing and filling up the coolant as instructed beats the 3 hours at the dealership only to come home with more noise. You'd think they'd check the levels and connections (inside and out) before draining all that fluid and refill it back up.
