oem tires & arrow markings

The oem tires have been rotated once by the dealer (with an unknown pattern) and once by me (front to back).

I noticed that the directional arrows on the tires point in different directions for the driver and the passenger sides of the vehicle... (For reference, I'm showing the arrow direction when the arrow is on the top of the tire)

Rear Driver Side <- <- Front Driver Side
Rear Pass Side -> -> Front Pass Side

Shouldn't they all point in the same direction? I can't figure out how to rotate them to make this so. Can someone check theirs and let me know.

They should all be pointing forward.

You'll have to dismount the driver's-side rubber from the wheels, turn them 180 degrees, then remount them on the wheels.

Is that how they rotate tires at the dealership??? I never paid attention before I took it to the dealership so I'm not sure if it was originally that way.

bizarre

If you have directional tires, the rotation pattern is simply front-to-back. You simply switch the left-front and left-rear tires with each other, and the same with the tires on the right side. This is because you have to make sure all the tire treads are pointing the right way, i.e. forward.

Ignore the spare if you have a full-size one, it's not part of the rotation. Chances are it's not going to be directional too.

If these are the OEM tires that came with the car, then 2 were mounted backwards at the factory, and you have survived this far without anything happening. Don't worry about it. Remounting could cause more problems than it "fixes," as the tires have already broken in.

If they were brand new replacement tires, I would take them back for the installer to correct the error.

the arrows need to point forward.

as noted above already, directional tires are to be rotated front to back.

I wasn't aware the OE tires were directional... They're an asymetrical tire, but I don't believe they're directional. I'm at work or else I'd go look.

Yes, they will say outside, however asymmetric does not mean directional.
