Exclamation RPM's drop from 750 to 400 instantly when moving gear from Park to Drive, NEED HELP!!

Hey guys, i need some help. I own an 07 honda fit I-DSI with CVT transmission, every time i start the engine and move the gear from park to drive, the normal idle rpm (750-800rpm) instantly drops to about 400rpm or sometimes lower. The car never shuts down though, but its still an annoying problem. Has anyone had this trouble or does anyone have any info that can help me with this problem?

Do the RPMs come back up at all after dropping when you change from park to drive?

I always thought that was normal if it dropped when changing and then came back to normal. When I used to drive an automatic, I could physically feel the transmission shifting into Drive, too.

Can anyone else chime in on this by chance?

Every automatic I've ever owned has done that.
