The Fit - Choice of 1 out of 25 doctors!

We went to a Medicare seminar yesterday at our local hospital and we had to walk through the doctors parking lot of a medical staff building which sits across from the conference site. We came out at the end of the day and there sat a VBP GD3 on the lot with all the Porsches, Land Rovers, Mercedes, Infiniti g37 etc. I was excited to see that at least one of the doctors on that lot had a great sense of style!

Yep. The doctor who drove that fit must be in a tight budget. Lol! If I am a doctor and earning more than what I needed, you won't see me driving a Fit. I would be in one of the brands you mentioned except the GD3. I mean to say I love my Fit because it fits my budget. Just my honest opinion.

Some people have other things they spend money on than their car. Perhaps he likes to travel, is saving money for an early retirement, paying off his enormous student loans, or a better house rather than sinking thousands of dollars into a depreciating asset like his colleagues for the sake of status. The Fit is a good value no matter what your annual income is IMHO.

Doctors don't start making money until later into their career. Also they have 6 figure loans to pay off so I'm pretty sure buying a luxury car is only when you are established and have a nice home.

Talking I drive a 2007 Fit Sport

I am a pediatrician and see quite a few Fits in the garage at the hospital where I work. I have talked two colleagues into buying Fits. Granted pediatricians are at the bottom of the income ladder for physicians and we have just as much loan from school. Having said that my "expensive weekend car" is a 1991 Miata.

If I was a doctor with the old 6 figure income, I'd still keep away from fat pig, socially irresponsible transportation, even if they have their own so called right to choose them, it's almost like the same logic Tiger Woods uses for cheating on his wife And I'd stay more practical and copy the logic of NFL QB Kyle Orton when he was asked why he drives a Pruis, he said ""everybody's in a recession -- so I'm saving my money."
