And of course suspension and chassis mods will be added accordingly.

I know turbocharging would be a better choice power whiles, but I'd have to drill the oil pan to for the turbo, wouldn't have fog lights, and would to go get tuned. On the other hand, the KWSC kit is pretty much plug and play, you just have to drill a hole or two to relocate the AC hose clamp, plug in the Supercard and go. In addition to this, turbos (even small ones) have to wait X amount of time for the exhaust gases to get that turbine up to speed whereas superchargers will instantaneously deliver its boost as soon as the hammer is dropped.

Plus, the whine of a supercharger puts the sound of a turbo spooling or blowing off to shame. It makes me all gitty inside.
Low end torque is good when you want to drive around slow drivers in stop and go traffic... but it's a bit rough to use the boost when you're not going to be moving far at all. Everyone will think you're trying to race if you boost around in stop&go traffic

It's lovely on the highway though, going from 60-80mph at full boost is no problem at all, so much better than stock. Drop to 3rd/4th, pump the gas and zoom past the Toyotas crawling around.

Drove over to my mum's yesterday afternoon, then later to a corner store to get a drink.

Oh, rides with plenty low end torque are amazing. I've rode in and driven a 535I E60 and those N54 engines can hit peak torque (300 ft~lbs) at 1400 RPMs and hold it until 5000 RPMs. It helps a lot to get away from traffic riding your side/blind spot and merging. Of course, that is a totally different caliber than a boosted Fit.

I bet having that extra power and torque is great in the Fit. Many drivers on the rural roads here drive below the limit unless I get a running start it takes forever to pass in 3rd.

The KWSC base kit is great with just a free flowing axle back pipe and muffler and very light wheels and tires..... To get the most out of the high boost kit more exhaust flow will do the trick but keep the light wheels and tires....That is the single thing that improves any car in many, many ways.

We have Ayr-foil at my job and i was able to set it on fire after a few seconds with a lighter... but i can't find info on the product you used... where did you get it? is maylar spelled right? I want to insulate my intake, so temps are'nt extremely high, but i would never put something inflammable under my hood...

The plastic cover over the intake plenum, the stock air cleaner and paper element, fender liners and all kinds of stuff made of petroleum by product will burn if exposed to an open flame but don't spontaneously combust when exposed to the temperatures under the hood of a car.

Put an ounce of diesel in ten gallons of gas. I wanta see were this goes,
MPG wise I keep a tight record of, hydrocarbon wise I'd like to see also. At .078% of 10 gal. it can't hurt anything.

No, an ounce will not hurt anything, as a matter of fact it will do nothing. Google "Marvel Mystery Oil" and see it's claim to fame if you want something real. This stuff's been around for decades and has some validity. I keep a can on the bench, just like my grandad taught me. Like a penetrating sewing machine oil, when you need it.

I like your style though Perrenoud. Giving FIT410S a shot.

Sweet

There are a few guys on fitfreak that use Marvel Mystery Oil and some of them aren't old men...... Perrenoud is a class act for sure.

I'm not too much a fan of swapping K20/K24s into Fits.

Having a larger and more mod responsive engine is great of course, but the additional weight to the front doesn't help handling.

At about the time I got my drivers license my father took over a Texaco service station that he owned and leased back to Texaco.... I had hung around the place over the years while it was managed by 3 or 4 different people and started managing it at night while in high school.... It was insane how many different additives I saw come and go over the years.... The absolute worse thing I ever saw had to be STP...... Marvel Mystery Oil and Rislone are 2 that are still around, do what they say they will and smell good... I can't help but wonder if part of what gives off odor in the 2 could possibly be wintergreen oil.... I have seen wintergreen oil and vanilla bean oil used as solvent to clean the burnt residue in black powder rifles that even Hoppes #9 wouldn't touch and that stuff is great for use on firearms that use smokeless powder..... How many other old guys had STP stickers on their cars, notebooks, sneakers and everything else under the sun?... I had 2 huge one that almost entirely covered the rear side windows on my Studebaker Lark.

....Studebaker...Tickled...Pink...../ Shoved ..Together ..Perfectly../ Shot To Pieces... I once read a page of them in an old funny book called CarToons. It was good stuff for stiffening up lever action shock absorbers on Austin Healeys and old mid 50s Buicks, also to lubricate new or reground camshafts.

But I can tell you from personal experience that it will NOT seal a leaking pinion shaft seal on a 1940 Cadillac. Shes leaking worse now than when i took it apart almost three years ago. It is a bitch kitty to get out of a concrete garage floor though LOL
Damn Tex, you read CarToons also? Trosley was my favorite! We must be brothers from different mothers you and I!
