ok so after a year of trying to fix it ... It still doesnt work
it would turn on but can't set the speed

The only time i can get it to work is after I reset the battery but it would only work alittle
If I restart the car it would stop working

Can someone give me a complete wiring diagram for the unit so I can take it apart ....?

I hate to go with the obvious, but when did the problem start? Was it when you put your LED tails in?

 

This is a big problem with LED tail lights on all makes of car. The cruise circuit thinks that the brakes are on and won't engage all it takes is a little floating voltage in the circuit. Not enough to light the lights, but enough that the cruise shuts down.

Adding diodes can help. They are one-way electrical "valves"

Another problem could be the clutch cut off switch if your are running a MT

 

My dad put LED's in his suburban and the cruise stopped working, I put the old bulbs in for him and problem was solved. The system doesn't like LED's and wont let the cruise work properly.

 

well LED tail was the first mod back in 2007, it worked till i installed grounding wire in last 08, then another guy fixed it for a bit till i got emanage in a couple of months ...then it's been like that
