Exclamation Broken Cruise Control

So today while I was moving , I was headed down one of the many highways in ATX. I hit the cruise control button to active it.. of course and to my surprise.. I get NOTHING! I have the cruise control ON, but it will not engage. I try this about 20mins maintaining my speed and with and without accelrating none of which made a diffrence. It would not engage. After about 10 more mins of driving I try again and it works, but this time it turned off about 3 times in a row, each time I would turn it back on and it would stay on for a few seconds.. I have done nothing to make this happen my next step if this happens again.. since it did this all day today.. will be to unplug the battery to reset the ECU. If I still have no luck I guess I will be paying the dealership a visit..

has anybody had this happen to them before?

No,but on long trips with frequent engagements and cancels, ocaaisionally I won't get it to engage I accelerate or decelerate turn it off and then on again, and then it rengages,I have never had it turn off once engaged except after breaking which is normal

I'ts happened to me but not on the Fit my old car did exactly what you are describing though and about 2 weeks after my first incident it stopped working completely, so I would definiately take it in to the dealer even if it starts working fine again just to be safe. hope this helps.

You are a manual right? Maybe you foot was resting on the clutch pedal lightly and setting the neutral saftey switch off! Also hence canceling or not allowing it to set! Just a possible thought?
