The best thing to use on the engine bay is WD40. Before you start read the can it "Cleans and Protects", not only lubes. Lightly spray EVERYTHING and start wiping down with rags. It will clean just about anything off, plus it will protect all your componets from rust! The only bad part is after cleaning when you start up, let it run for a while. The WD will smoke and have a slight smell, but this is only because it is on your exhaust manifold it will burn off QUICKLY and is not any harm at all!!!!

Im a Crane Operator and this trick was taught to me by an old school operator and let me tell you it definetly works.

TRY IT BEFORE YOU TALK SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
