Need help modding my 07 FIT
Need help modding my 07 FIT
My parents just gave me our old family car, a 2007 FIT and too me it is a bit lacking. It is a black, automatic trans all base FIT not a sport. I was looking into upgrading the engine but i do not know where to start. I was also looking at improving the interior and exterior apperance. I need your help. Thanks
Mod the car how you like it. Spend some time researching on this site and possibly honda-tech. A honda is a honda and they all look great with simple mods(body style changes but not the mods). Try dumping it on lowering springs, tint, HID's and Cold Air intake. Im assuming you dont have much money ,due to the fact ur parents gave it to u. You can get used springs on here for under $100 shipped. Tint at your local shop for about $200. HID's for about $150, and a intake from $100 up to $500. It is a FIT so dont expect to make big power, "there is no replacement for displacement", but it is light and small so it is alot of fun around town, but is not a drag strip killa. If you want real power--sell it and build a EG or EF civic hatch with at least 2.0 displacement. Im sure alot of arguments will be said about that statement. But think about this-----Turbo kit for FIT $3000-$5000 Maybe 75extra HP giving you a total of 184 HP, decent no doubt-------EG6 civic G23"Frankinstein Motor" $2000 for car $2500 Motor Build 250+HP no boost, and before anyone starts EG aint much more weight maybe 800 pounds.
So thats my 2 cent. Mod it for you. Just remember being young and not much money I would stay with slight mods. Stay away from boost unless you know how to build it or fix it because they are NOT reliable as a Daily. Good luck and keep us posted>
This is my Boosted 1978 Ford Fairmont with a 302 fully built. Love the boost, but it always needs something. So I will tell u as someone told me as we built this
"Speed is money, so how fast do u wanna go?"
