07-08 Fog lights

Can the fog lights I find online that say Base model only go on my 07 Sport? A rock hit my driver side and I don't want to spend $100+ on a new one. Thanks!

I bought a set off ebay when the hardware on my snapped trying to take them apart for film. The ones I got wouldn't work with my factory colored surrounds.

Honda does make a kit to add fogs to the Base - I did it. The big difference is the housing isn't painted, it's just black. If you try to use one of those, you'll have to have it painted, swap them both out, or deal with having two different colors. The Honda kit isn't cheap either but may be more cost effective if you want to go to black. I can't say the base housings fit on the sport model but it's the same bumper AFAIK, just doesn't have the added aero skirt.

The cheap ebay units have poor wiring and switches but reports say the housings fit. Recommend you contact a fitfreaker who tried one of these to confirm or give zetaproducts a call (if they still sell them) if all you want to do is replace a housing on your Sport. The aftermarket kits are black too so you'll still need to deal with that.

Again, I haven't tried this or made any comparisons between Sport and Base and the ebay kits so please confirm with someone who has!!

Why is there not a replacement for just the light itself? I have an 07 sport and the dealer quoted me $220 on a driver side replacement. Does the housing not come off without damage? Anyone know a link to an online salvage that might have something?

I would rather not have to pay to get them sprayed to match. Could I reuse my old housings and install on the new lamps?
