torque converter

hey everyone, i am helping my friend install a new engine because his engine seized.

Now i'm about to put everything back together and i was wondering about the removal of the torque converter.

I didn't remove the torque converter from the engine before pulling out the tranny.. because we couldn't hand crank the engine to remove it

will that have broken anything?

for engine replacement the power train should be removed as one unit and then the tranny can be unbolted . Unless you dropped the TC on the concrete flor, it should be ok
