Oh! no sound?

Ok well I was playing with me radio settings last night was moving the speaker setting around and WTF!! my driver side door has no sound! Ok I replaced the stock speakers with kickers in the back and blapunkts in the front. The blapunkts came with tweeters that connected to the back of the speaker to function, the stock tweeters have there own plug so I left them in.

I didn't get to open the door yet but it doesnt seem like it will be the speaker.. if the tweeter and the speaker arent working on that side then it would be the speaker because they get their music from two separate sources.

When I installed a sub I used an adapter im thinking I mite need to pull the radio out and see whats going on. At work today ill work on it tomorrow. Any one have any ideas of what it could be.

You have your reasons why you don't think it is the speaker, so my experience might not be of help. I had replaced the fronts and used the same connector that came stock to plug into the speaker. About 3 months later, I realized, like you, no sound from that door. Turns out the plug had somehow worked it's way off the terminal. Seemed strange to me, but, soldered it on now - never had anymore issues :-)

Are running an aftermarket deck? Mine cuts the sound when the front componets grounded out due to poor installation by me!

Well before I started pulling the dash apart I popped open the door. The clip from the stock tweeter had not been connect, no clue how that could have happend it's a clip :\

AND one of the wires going to the speaker from the clip had come off the terminal. I feel like it was sabotaged because what a coincidence they were both un done. Dont think anyone was really in my door but all fixed now.

Thank you guys for the help!
