Rear Seat wont drop, and I want to fix it
I love my Fit, and have come to rely on the ability to drop the rear seats, but for some reason the latch handle to release the drivers side rear seat wont drop. After finding out how expensive it would be just to have Honda look at it, I decided to try and do the work myself, but cant get the panel off without getting the seat to drop... Does anyone have any ideas?
is the handle moving but not releasing or does it feel like the release handle is stuck? I've had my car for two years and just figured out that it has two reclining positions... should've seen the stupid look on my face.
oh and i know the seats wont fold down unless the lower portion is locked all the way up and the kickstand thing is locked all the way down. Good luck with fixing that. and if you have honda care they would probably fix it at no cost

I checked it out and everything is in place as far as seat positions. The release handle seems to be broken, it moves but not smoothly and doe not seem to be following a track. When I tried working on it last night I was going at it from the rear, trying to get the panel around the hitch off to try to release it from there but in my frustration, did not notice the screw on the plastic around the release handle. I will try pullin that off tonight to see if I can get at what's wrong from there. Also, no Honda cares and it's way put of warranty. I love this car and in the process of using it for work put 76k on it in a year and a half
