Exclamation HELP: How do you open the rear hatch...!

If you pull on the hatch handle and it doesn't open........................?!

It was working fine the day before, today i was tried to open it, pressed the button on my remote twice, heard some unlocking noise but when i try to pull it open, nothing happen. OK, i look for the keyhole (just got the car for like 2 weeks) and OMFG, there is no keyhole!

So now i'm stuck and i can't open my hatch. Anyone experienced similar situation and know how to at least open it so that i could remove the interior panel and perhaps fix it...? UGH...

I thought it was due to coldness as well, i parked the car in the garage for 4 hours, and is the same. It seems like the connecting rod or whatever connecting to the lever is broken/snapped...

you can remove the rear hatch panel from the inside and assess the damage, if any.

owner's manual?

Read your owners manual (page 82)! There's a plastic knockout (never used it) on the inside of the hatch that allows you to manually open the hatch from the inside. It does imply a problem with your power (all you've got) lock system.

Read the manual - the solution to a lot of problems.

There's a little rubber circular piece on the inside of the trunk, you have to get in the back seat for this. Find the piece of rubber take it out and stick your finger through the hole and flip the metal piece that you feel either up or down and try unlocking the car at the same time.
