gawd damn rear wiper! help?
anyone have a trick or 2 for removing the rear wiper arm off the wiper motor?
i poped the plastic cap, removed the 10mm nut, but the arm won't come out.
i tried hammering on the bolt itself, soaked it with WD40, no go...
i also tried re-tighten the nut harder, hoping it would push it in more to break it loose, no go either.
been an hour trying to get the arm out, and i ran out of idea.

Go to an auto zone or such and ask em for a pulley puller. I was able to 'rent' one for free to get mine off. Then lube the spline before you put it back together. Down here they rent for a refundable deposit.

Just sprayed some more WD40 on it and letting it sit some more now...

It needs to be a small puller, the type w/ 'jaws' that reach down around the part you want to pull off. It really doesn't take much.
They do make a pry-bar type thing specifically for popping wiper arms. A repair shop might have one if you're in tight with any mechanics or an auto supply place.

WD-40 is an awesome water displacing electrical contact cleaner, not a rust penetrant. When I lived in Cape Canaveral, FL I had a conversation about it with one of the engineers who helped develop the stuff. Yes, there are some lubricant-like qualities, mostly from the trace oil film left behind by the lighter solvents. You will find that a quality penetrant like PB B'laster will be more effective at loosening your corrosion. Ain't road salt great??

So i went to check out CanadianTire, NAPA, and none of them have a small pulley puller... could one of you guys point me to the right direction on where i could either order one online, or have a picture so i can show it to the guy perhaps he would know what a pulley puller look like?
I think i saw a pullet at CanadianTire, but it was for some valve job.

One source: Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more
Caveat: I did NO shopping legwork here - this could be the most expensive one ever made, for all I know. It does have a rather nice picture though!

That's not what I ended up using, but it sure is what you want, though I've never seen one before.
Good find. I'll bet Snap-On make a more expensive one!
Guess it really is true, 'They got something for everything.' HA
